Quality Veg was started in 1991 by Mr GA Rix ( senior ) in a single garage with 5 ladies from Kuruman. He was the first farmer to grow baby carrots and was the sole supplier of baby carrots to Woolworths. As the time past the business grew to a packhouse supplying local, national and international markets. Since 2009 the company is being run by the second generation. Quality Veg has the following Certifications & Accreditations : Global Gap / Tesco Nature. / FSA / FreshMark / GMP / WW Farming for the Future / Sedex We now supply all major chain stores nation wide ( Pick n Pay, Woolworths, Spar, Food Lovers Market, Checkers, Shoprite ) , hotels and caterers all across the Western Cape and Johannesburg and work closely with Unlimited Group ( www.unlimited-group.co.za ) exporting to EU, Dubai and Ireland. We are in the process of starting Ethical Audits and to be BRC Accredited by 2017 |
